Good food, good prices. The hostess (maybe she was the manager or owner) was great but my server Sherry seemed very preoccupied. I had a long wait for initial contact, beverage I'd requested, and my ticket. She never asked how my food was and didn't say goodbye. As a former server trainer that all should have been done. BTW the place was not busy. The kitchen staff got my food out in minutes so that was not the issue. I had breakfast here.
Delicious breakfast! Eggs Benedict and biscuit with sausage gravy were excellent!!
Freeport Cafe has excellent breakfast and even when they're really busy the staff is friendly and efficient so the wait time is reasonable.
Great staff, very busy due to a power outage, but they handled it well, called in more staff, still made an excellent breakfast! Kudos to them on handling a stressful morning so well.
We were there today, 12/7 at 6:30 am on our way home from Southwest Harbor to Millersville , Pa. My 3+ 3 omelet was cooked just right. Try the Captain Mowatts hot sauce on your breakfast eggs and potatoes. Good stuff!! My wifes corned beef hash was extremely good. Our young waitress was very informative while my wife asked many questions. All the wait staff seem to interact with each other and enjoy each others company. Great place for breakfast.
The Freeport Cafe is our go to cafe. It's reasonably priced, good, cafe style food, and friendly service. It's grown in popularity over the past few years and can be quite busy. Breakfast is served all day which sometimes is just what I want. In addition to the standard cafe fare they have terrific clam chowder and a grilled haddock sandwich that's a nice change from a burger from time to time.
Food was great. Service was ok. Waited to be seated while a waitress stood and read the paper for several minutes. Finally seated and our oh so friendly (can you sense the sarcasm?) Waitress took our order. We asked if they had fish and chips as they were not on the menu and were told yes. Why are they not on the menu?? Weird. Anyway, food came and it was delicious. Went to pay and the paper reading waitress walked right by us twice and did not acknowledge that we were standing there waiting to pay. So we left the money and bill on the counter and walked out. Def could use some customer service training. Oh and a smile would go a long way as well.
I’ve only been here for breakfast. The food is delicious and the service is always great & friendly. The price is reasonable and the location is easy to get to with plenty of free parking! If your coming to Freeport to shop at LL Beans or to the outlets I would highly recommend stopping here for either breakfast or lunch as this is a real Maine experience to eat at this cafe.
It was great food was really good the service was better live it all
Crazy good food! Great, "down home cafe/diner" atmosphere and friendly staff!
Everyone is very friendly and very happy to work here. The food is great, the food is already salted and buttered which is awesome. Price is amazing for the food!
Small place. Very busy. The service and the food were very good. Decent prices
Food was fantastic and well served. Prices were pretty good slsi.
Great Maine seafood.
Great food, prices, and atmosphere! Looking forward to our next visit!!
This place did not disappoint. Homestyle cooking that was delish. Staff was friendly and clean. Can't wait to go back!
Great place. Great food, very friendly.
You may have a bit of a wait coming here but that's for food reason - the food here is fantastic and the service is almost always superb, though given how busy it is, some of the staff can be a bit rushed. I've never stayed for dinner but the breakfast keeps me coming back. Plenty of options ensure everyone in the family will find something they like and the specials are always creative and delicious. My favorite is the corned beef hash Benedict with a roasted blueberry muffin. Best ure to stop in and don't mind the wait - it's well worth it!
The staff were very good and the food was excellent. I had the Breakfast Bowl and it was great with a little bit of hot sauce. Would definitely recommend this establishment to others. Enjoy.
A great hometown feel for a yummy Sunday brunch. Eggs Benedict are a special treat prepared with the eggs poached to order. Coffee was very good, although refills were hard to come by. Tried to order a giant cinnamon roll as an appetizer, but it came at the same time as our meal.
Loved it great service, comfortable atmosphere, great food
The best. Love it
Love the Breakfast Food here. Lovely atmosphere
They have the best Eggs Benedict (ham is thick) and large Blueberry pancakes. Iced Coffee is large sized as well. Different Maine made hot sauces on the table. Check the boards for Daily features including coffee and muffin flavors of the day. Today, I had the breakfast sandwich (3 meats). If there is a line, just wait in it, there's no real list, they will just ask how many in your party as they get to you or look for the next table for 2 as that opens. Friendly staff. I believe they also offer bloody mary and mimosas.
Great breakfast. Large portions. Good prices. Very busy on a Saturday morning but the wait staff was amazing. Very quick and helpful. It must be busy because it is so good.
Great lunch here recently with family. Server was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable, I think it was Luke. Our group ordered crab cakes, lobster roll, hand made chips, giant cinnamon roll, and all were delicious. I asked for lobster Caesar wrap and it was prepared for me even though it wasn't a menu choice. Blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream topped us off, fab! We will be back!
Gloria purchases paper from the company I work for and is always such a pleasure to work with.
If you want breakfast, this will surely satisfy. If you want a fancy setting keep driving. It aint pretty on the outside or the inside so don't think you are at the wrong place when you are driving up to it. Friendly service. Good food.
Wonderful service, best pancakes ive had in years!!
Best breakfast ever!! Big portions. Friendly. Busy time take a little longer to be seated. Not to bad for waiting about 5 to 10 minutes
Best breakfast in freeport. Great servers. Feels like home. We visit often.
Good food, friendly staff, good portions, inexpensive. Solid Maine fare in a accessible Yarmouth location! Highly recommended.
Breakfast was incredible!!!! Great food, great service!
Could be landmark - simple, good food, hot and quick. Generous portions and a friendly, experienced waitress. Yup, that two egg and thick slab of ham sandwich N home fries hit the spot. Better still, if I get up first tomorrow, I'll get the other half of my bride's huge Eggs Benedict!
Another wonderful lunch. Food and service are consistently good. Their weekend dinner menu is very good as well.
Amazing food, great service, great price!!!!!
Good service, good food. A little pricey, also very disappointed that there is no discount for Best Western customers, so close by. Only breakfast restaurant nearby. Making a lot of money on hotel guests.
Very good food and service. Enjoyed eating there and the hotel and surroundings were beautiful. Would go back in a heartbeat.
This cafe is great. The food is great and it is priced right. I really enjoy the staff.
Very good breakfast items. Sandwiches and soups are all good. Menu on Google is outdated.
Honestly my only comlaint would be that this was SO MUCH FOOD but it's not a true complaint I suppose! Great prices, quick food and nice service. Not overly laying it on- this is a quick moving diner. I had the sausage gravy on the a biscuit, and my boyfriend had the steak eggs Benny. Both were great but man- we were FULL. Coffee was good with lots of top ups as well. We liked the local hot sauces as well. I'd definitely recommend this spot, especially if you're staying in the area!
Very good service.friendly waitress. The food was incredible and the amount of food you got on your plate was huge
Excellent food and service
Awesome! From start to finish!!! Food is delicious
Great lobster omelet. One of the best I have ever had!
Very busy, but considering, pretty quality meal. We got the eggs Benedict & blueberry pancakes. You must ask & pay extra for the real maple syrup if you want it. Pancakes were very large.
This is a nice little place to stop and just get breakfast. It's never very busy the wait is usually not that long. I've been there at least a dozen times and I've never had a complaint. The breakfast sandwich made on an English muffin with two eggs and your choice of meat with cheese is definitely the way to go. This is a perfect stop on your way to L.L.Bean.
Solid eggs Benedict. Good tunes. Quintessential small town breakfast joint.
Best SOS I've ever had, thick creamy sauce on a home made biscuit. How ever I thought it to be a little pricey at $10 but it did come with 2eggs and homefries. If your a fan of SOS this is a good stop.
Breakfast like you want it. Tasty and cheap with fast service. The line to be seated becomes long on the weekends so plan ahead. Tables turn at a good rate so stick around. Hollandaise is fantastic while the cinnamon buns are HUGE. Menu is small but covers all the basics. Our waitress was wonderful. Recommended.
